Love and War are about winning the hearts, but not…
The sentiment “all is fair in love in war” is found in poet John Lyly’s novel “Euphues: The Anatomy of Wit,” published in 1579. Times have changed since then, and I no longer agree with this sentiment. Some extremists have taken the war to the extent of killing their people to win. Some sadists have gone to the time of killing their ‘love’ just for not accepting their proposal. This is not fair! All parties suffer in this paradigm. Nobody wins, and everybody involved loses something.
Coming to my view, war and love must be about winning the hearts morally, but not about killing each other. I highlighted morality because deceit will make conditions worse when realised. So let me apply it to the current global scenario below.
Pakistan Army must win the hearts of our Indians not by the deceit of encouraging terrorism against India. The US of America must win the trust of Syrians, not by dividing and conquering Muslims in the Middle East. Russia must win the hearts of Ukrainians by making them free, not by applying military pressure. South Koreans have won the hearts of North Koreans by displaying brotherhood with North Korea despite attempts to trigger a war by the latter against the former. This lovely, loving persistence of South Korea created a win-win situation on the Korean peninsula. True LOVE goes a long way in winning the hearts of even the toughest of hearts. It is easy to say love even your enemy, but when it comes to reality, it will be an outstanding achievement when put into practice. I thank Chairman Kim Jong Un for re-establishing world peace. Now, he must help his fellow citizens with the funds he receives to remain untainted in Global History.
Pakistan-India, Russia-Ukraine, Syria-ISIS, and US-Russia must learn to win the hearts from the South Koreans, not kill. Let Global Peace prevail with wars to win the hearts of your enemies. When scientists have created killing machines by wasting trillions of tax money, can’t they create loving machines with just a few billion? Coming to the perverts who kill people in the name of love, they will be better handled by new technologies coming into the market. This problem will soon disappear. Remember, your smartphone manufacturer can keep software/ chips to control your mind. Such practice might already exist, which many citizens are unaware of.
